I'm home....

for a millisecond.

I got a 24 hr horrible stomache flu from my dad's, where I stayed until xmas day. Fortunately I feel so much better already, and I'm glad to actually see my bff's tonight!!!!! Tomorrow is my last day here which sucks, but hopefully I'll do something fun... It's weird, I'm going to be leaving before it actually gets to sink in that I'm here.

so basically my life has changed

I randomly got a call from a talent management company the other day. I guess through my MTV audition some guy named Daniel really liked me, and forwarded my information to a talent agency. It's really ironic that that random horrible MTV taped audition could get me here...Even though basically I was acting during the whole thing... I met with the entertainment management company this morning, which represents actors, singers, dancers, and models in downtown LA. It was in this elegant building, and I had to get buzzed up with this black guy in a tux. I met with a French woman, who really liked that I was "eastern european", and said that I could actually get a ton of work with print modeling, which apparently pays 4-5 grand for a single day's work. And I'm just thinking me????? So Saturday I shoot with this amazing photographer, and then I can have basis for headshots, etc so I can start auditioning. They take 15% of what I make, so it's definately not scammy or anything.

So I don't really know what to do with myself right now.

I'm worried about my lack of transportation, but hopefully that will be taken care of soon...

I know that its probably going to take a few auditions to get in sync with everything but I mean, OH MY GAWD. Yesterday I was walking over a freeway overpass and lifting heavy boxes alone in the Target wherehouse.

So I'm going to be baby spice for halloween. I bought these massive white platforms from a stripper shoes store (which was a fantastic experience I might add) and I'm planning on dying my hair even lighter after this (you can't put pigtails on wigs). I just put a fantastic baby blue dress on hold at Buffalo Exchange...I'm so excited. I figured I'd fulfill my ten year old fantasy. How could I say no?

before:

after:

I'm so proud that I dyed it myself!
Crewing at school and bored out of my mind. I discovered this amazing photographer, Mario Sorrenti who happened to be one of kate moss' infamous boyfriends. Look for Natalie Portman, Winona Ryder, and Kate Moss in these photos. The last bunch of pictures is Sorrenti photographed by Kate Moss (ohhh my godd)Thought I'd share.
I went to the most amazing Bright Eyes concert Saturday night. Never been a huge fan of connor, but man oh man he looked like sex up there. He played with the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra, which was a one time thing. Yo la tengo opened with M. Ward, and were fantastic. I'll post footage when I have time. Egh I have to go crew this dumb production on school. I'll post footage later when I have some breathing room...

Oh yeah there was this bomb threat at Target, obviously I didn't get blown up, but it was sooo exciting nevertheless

Internet...finally!! I did end up getting another tattoo...ugh I'm bad. I started drawing these ominous little white blood cells when I was sick with mono this year and ended up getting one on the cradle of my right lower hip...tattoos are addicting bahh.

It rained last night! It never rains here. It rained for only like two days last year. I get internet tomorrow, and I am stoked to death. So I might sing with my friends band saturday at a restaurant. It's just a cover of 311's (or the Cure's) "love song". I practiced with them yesterday and they mainly goof around, so I'll see if I actually end up doing it. The stage practice would be awesome.

Ugh I have to jet to ballet. And then modern and then modern and then...

bubble bath :)

I (surprise, surprise) passed my drug test with flying colors and got a job in Electronics at Target! Yee-haw. I could not be more estatic that I'm going to finally be making some money for a much needed car. It takes me 5 minutes to walk there. Yesterday I had my first day, and despite all the crazy shit I have to memorize, all the people are really nice and fun. So hopefully, since a kazillion people work there, I can meet more people and yeah. Me=happy.

I start crewing a production at my school (I got assigned hair and make-up and therefore do not have to do ANYTHING) for this play called "Mother Courage" which is WWII based. I'm syched to work with some graduate actors I worked with last semester, even some have already worked with prestigious actors such as Robin Williams and more...Although I'M GOING TO HAVE NO LIFE, but at least time can fly by...

I'm going to try and post some pictures of my new room soon, its tight(remember when people actually used that word? ahahaha).

ah, the last day of my first week of school

I'm really tired.

I danced for about eight hours yesterday. I had my first real dance classes plus the dance concert audition, where we had to learn six clips of choreography lightning fast, and then dance five at a time infront of the head of the dance department (scary old lady). But I couldn't be more proud. First of all, I went, and underclassman have a really slim chance of even getting in, but I auditioned for EVERTHING, even the cardio-karate-gymnast dance, when everyone sat down (self explanatory).

I AM SO SORE.

My apartment is nice and my roommates are great. I also have an interview for target today (cross your fingers for me!!).

My classes all rock and I feel like I learn interesting things from them and enjoy...well...I might just say it...school.

Peace and love to all my norcal homies. Love your nonsmogy atmosphere and all of your shade. I miss you lucky fools already.

it's been a while...

Woke up from a three hour afternoon/early evening nap. It was so nice waking up and all of a sudden it was dark out and my sister was playing old coldplay. It was like waking up still in a dream :)

Yesterday night me, Liza, and Diana watched a bunch of Disney movies at her house. It was so much fun going back to fairytale land. We were about to go to bed but then we started messing around on Liza's piano well into the night, singing along to old disney classics and theme songs, as well as popular acoustic rock songs. OMG wonderful.

Friday I left for LA and returned Sunday. It was my first time driving by myself down there, I felt very independent. Me and Liza went down and she helped me move in to my new apartment, which is really nice. We also stumbled on free tickets to this "Open Air Stereo" Laguna Beach show in downtown fullerton. Their name sounded familiar but I didnt remember who they were at first. And then I saw the fricken lead singer hella checkin' me and Liza out. He had this long emo brandon boyd wannabe haircut and a tight white shirt on. I think its so funny that his band is a loser now. It just proves to me that there are good and bad kinds of fame. I did see LC's little sister (briana??) and some of her friends looked familiar but I didnt know their names. During their set,a bunch of over-dressed Laguna Beach girls showed up all slutty lookin'. It looks like their moms all came too? SO LAME. Me and Liza decided to ditch it and walked out as the lead singer said, "I DEDICATE THIS SONG TO ALL THE PEOPLE LEAVING RIGHT NOW" Hahaha me and Liza were the only ones leaving too. He had this shirt on but like unbuttoned.. trying to like "make it flow in the wind" HELLO wannabe "Wish you Were Here" video? what a fricken lush. Interesting night.

Saturday me and Liza went to Disneyland where we saw shelley. OMG I LOVE DISNEYLAND! We didnt get to see all of it though, it was extremely crowded :(

Sunday we went to hollywood and shopped around at Amoeba and some awesome vintage stores down there. We almost didn't go into American Apparel, and then we decided to. We saw a friend from Livermore working there and he gave us 50% off!!! Lucky weekend. Omg and we saw this guy handing out scientology fliers.
wasting no life away

Me life has been physco busy lately. I'm either in pleasanton doing drama camp, at the tennis club, studying, or going to school. The other night I went to Harry Potter premiere, went to bed at like 4am at my dad's in Concord, drove to work in Pleasanton the next day still wearing what I wore to Harry Potter, and then went home, wrote a paper and took a ten second shower before jetting off to Ohlone in Fremont until after ten. I WAS PHYSCO. But things are cooling off. I'm looking forward to my LA trip in a couple of weeks, even though the gas is probably gunna kill my bank account. I'm just going to be glad to rid the garage of a bunch of my shit.

At drama camp today I went through costumes with the director and my old guitar teacher, Debra. I learned a lot of interesting things about her that I never knew. She told me about how she used to get picked on school horribly, and ended up doing a bunch theatre in the city, where she had a physco director stalk her at 17. Some other disappointing theatre things started happening, and then she met a girl with purple hair and a fur coat who told her about this new "punk" club. This was when punk was just starting out from protest of politics. There, she loved it and fell into the scene, ended up in a bunch of bands and hung out with guys like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and Keith Richards (haha and Randy Jackson from American Idol)....She said the scene was full of drugs, and she soon started to get into using, as well as excessive alcohol. Her heart actually stopped, and she had a had a heart attack at one point. That's so crazy. She says that the only reason she probably is still alive (she mentioned that most of her old friends were dead, and had infact died in bathrooms of overdoses right infront of her) is because of her pregnancy, when she really had to move out of the city and take care of herself. Man when she told me that, I just wished that something great could happen to her, like perhaps super-fame with her band or something (she just came back from touring with her band in NY). It's like I was jealous and felt sorry for her at the same time. All I would love to do is make music. And it seems so simple now that I say it, but in the real world, it's a trip. Debra also explained that the music industry was completely dominated by men in that day, and that it still is. This just makes me want to break through, motivates me to get out there in people's faces. I'm only almost 19 but I feel like I'm running out of time or something. But now that I live in the real world as an adult I realize that life, and jobs, and careers eventually fall into place, and if you really really want something, you can alter your life in order to achieve it. Patience has always been a bitch for me. But hopefully, I can take her story and learn from it, and remember to in the end, let go of fear and just be yourself. I may just work summer drama camp for a while.

Mmmmmm. I went to my Astronomy summer class yesterday and it was utterly wonderful. I adore astronomy, and even though the class was 4+ hours I was constantly interested. I just learned all of these amazing things, like the atoms we're made of originated from a star (we come from stars!). Since my class is at night, we were going to try to watch the space station fly overhead, but unfortunately it was cloudy!

I officially will start working soon, and I can't be more excited (umm...I'm dead broke). The tennis club needs subs for their front desk pretty badly, so I'm garaunteed shifts. I also have a meeting with my drama camp fellow employees friday, so I'm going to get super busy with that...though I did spend my morning lounging and reading Harry Potter (5), which I couldn't have been any better (:

worst nightmare

Remember Shadowcliff's? That little waterslide park off of Stanley? Of course you do, unless you have blocked it out of your memory like I did. I had the unfortunate circumstance of going there with my cousin who is staying with us for a while today, and my god, I have never been in a greater hell.

First of all, I was the fricken OLDEST person there, I can even safely say that I had the biggest boobs there (!), but nevertheless, little twelve year olds poked and proded at me with the dumb-ass little matts that you slide on, cut infront of me in line, and even gave me the finger.

For an hour and fifteen minutes, we only went on four waterslides. We had to wait in the blistering sun, in line, with kiddy-chatter ringing in my ears at a very high volume. Besides hiding my chest from chubby little mexican boys, the only thing left to look at were the lazy, burnt brown 16 year old girl lifeguards slathering themselves with SPF 4 tanning oil, not paying attention at all. A lawsuit waiting to happen! And let me tell you, big kids go down fast. I scraped up myself being torn back and forth from the ghetto waterslides, spinning backwards and being spat out into the burning chlorinated water.

So, I consider myself a saint today. I stepped up and went to those nasty waterslides, hoping for the best, but knowing, bravely, what I would be up against. At least I got a tan.

Yesterday we went with my little cousin to SF and saw the golden gate bridge and stuff, which was nice. We also stopped in Salsalito, which is beautiful. We went to a unique cafe and I sipped on coffee by the mug and marveled at the view of the city. It felt like I was in Europe or something, and I wanted to keep the moment. I became suddenly inspired, relaxed, and could not help notice the two sunbathing European guys laying out by the rocks (Ow!). I figured that I'd move to Europe and just have a bunch of good-looking lovers, who would never mean a thing, and I would live without doubt, but always have someone to hold on to.

Looks kinda like a cool life. Eh, on another note I went to the LHS graduation today...I'm kinda pissed at a certain someone who totally used me to get a parking spot and then ditched me at the graduation, but I actually found my good friend Josh that I hadn't talked to in a while and spent the boring duration in good conversation. Looking forward to the weekend.

Lately...

Lately I've been beginning to obsess over image/fashion. I find it hard to admit that I kind of admire teenagers or young adults who have online/rockstarish images...ugh. All I want to do is go out clubbing in crazy sceny outfits and wear colorful make-up and dance. ANyway, I went to the Livermore Library today(for lack of no money and a better place to go) and looked for some free movies/C.D.'s to rent. Ended up renting buffy 1st season, Kinsey, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and some Steve Martin movie that looked like the whole family would enjoy. I found a Breeder's CD and got really excited because I dont have any of their stuff on my itunes...and yeah...can't wait for Rickshaw in a couple of weeks. Christina + SF= Perfect fit

(fun)I met a french guy this night who actually kissed my hand!
once in a blue moon...

Tonight's an awesome night because it's a blue moon-which means that there are two full moons in one month, which occurs only every 2.7 years. So hopefully I'll find something to do and get out of the house. KETTLECORN IS SO ADDICTING. I went to Farmer's Market with my madre today for the first time of the season and got a buttload of cherries(my favorite!) among other treats. It was a bit disturbing seeing some people I knew, but nevertheless pleasant.

I was really excited today for my Border's interview. The guy loved me, so hopefully I'll get a second interview..need...money...bad...Anyway, the only reservations he had was that I was going back to college in a couple of months, but he said he wouldn't hold it against me. I would love to work at a bookstore...I love everything in bookstores- except maybe those cheesy tassley bookmark things they shove in your face on the way to the cashier.

I hope my ebay shit sells. I only put up one dress and this foot spa still new in the box that I never have opened. People are so cheap these days, bleh whatever. I got my grades officially today. I'm both extremely upset and extremely proud of them...for like THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I got an A in math and it was like a word problem class. But for some reason I got a C in acting??? I think it may be because I missed some classes because I had mono, and attendance points count for a bunch...but seriously? A "C" in acting for NON majors? Kids were scared to go after me because I did such a good job. I'm so fucking pissed. Ugh! Oh well, I tried e-mailing one of the student teachers that taught the class but I don't even know if I got her email right. I just wanted to know why I got a C. Poop poop on her dumb bad actress ass.

Well, on a lighter note the weather was nice and cool today, so I didn't have to get up super early to run. I organized all my loads of crap finally, that I lugged in from socal even though it's still wierd because I kind of live in one of our living rooms. Geez I hope I get out tonight. Well at least I know I will tommorrow...my friend Josh is having a thing in San Jose that should be fun. Ohh my sister got extensions...it's kind of crazy because I would normally associate extentions with some like celebrity-exclusive thing or something. She looks great, or even cuter if possible, so good for her. I'll just have to chase the boys away with a friggen broom or something.

(end of christina life update)
